Times like this, I seriously think, "Maybe I should just stop caring about everyone."  But I know that is not the answer, and that this thought is only temporary, if recurring.

I love The Sound of Music (because who doesn't?) and have watched it several times, but some songs never made an impression on me before.  One of them was the "climb every mountain" song, and today I found that song the most meaningful.

Climb every mountain
Search high and low
Follow every byway
Every path you know

Ford every stream
Follow every rainbow
'Till you find your dream

A dream that will need
All the love you can give

For as long as you live
