If I knew that I had to work tomorrow, I would not have had a chill evening. I was enjoying my last few hours of laziness before tomorrow's 10-hour reading marathon... or so I thought. I was very angry for the last ten minutes.
But if I hadn't been procrastinating, which is, in a sense, what I've been doing, there would be less reasons to be upset........ but then, how is taking a few hours off during spring break ever something to feel guilty about?
I know where I really went wrong. I was planning too far ahead. You can't plan so far ahead and expect everything and everyone to just move out of your way. Nothing's for certain... You forget somehow.
Live in the present.

Staceyyyy don't be so harsh on yourself! You deserve a lot of chill evenings and certainly should not feel guilty about a break!
ReplyDeleteYou always work so hard and you are a great student, so no worries! Kin cha naaaah! Mei guan xi! Fang xin!
And you certainly haven't "really gone wrong!" You have learned something perhaps since things didn't go as planned, but that's totally okay. This is probably a lesson I still have not learned. I certainly am a planner... and don't live in the present enough. Let's work on that though!
As Robert Herrick said,
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles to-day
To-morrow will be dying.
