Prayers Don't Die

Today at church, we had a 82-year-old guest pastor / missionary speak.  It was the most uplifting and moving sermon I had heard.  So many good messages, but especially this:

People die, but their prayers and His promises don't.

Everything on God's time.  The lengths of our lifetime are insignificant.  I do not have to race against my death because my prayers and His promises transcend my lifetime.  And not only is my mom's spirit alive, but her prayers are, too.  Her prayers didn't die; they are still at work in me, in my brother, in the world...

What an uplifting, comforting thought.  Hallelujah.
