A conversation from four years ago, still mostly preserved in my memory...

S, C:  When can we make up the test?
KB:  You can come in early in the morning or during lunch.
S, C:  We have zero period and audit orchestra...
KB:  Well, I don't know then.  That's your problem.  You did that to yourself.

How flabbergasted I was then.  But how Ms. Bryan made me think.  Maybe the world didn't revolve around my flawless 16-year-old self.

Since then, I have thought back many times to that conversation.  Indeed, the world doesn't move out of my way so I can do everything and do it my way.  Overachievement is a luxury and a blessing.
