Wise Words from Christine

One of the leaders is reading Lee Strobel's The Case for Faith, and he told us something he had read. If, say, you work at a company, and you wonder if your boss is in, you might go to the parking lot and see his car. Then, you might ask the secretary if he's in, and she'll say yes. When you walk to his office, you notice the light inside is on. But all these observations become secondary the moment you open the door and see him sitting there. We might think that certain things point to God, but when you know Him personally, His presence is undeniable. I think also in this way, even anything that shows He might not be there, "proof," is moot. Perhaps the light is off because he'd rather work in the natural light. Perhaps the secretary was late and may not have seen the boss walk in. Perhaps the car isn't in the parking lot, but he could have taken the bus, you know? If we know and are convinced that God exists and is actively at work in our lives, no piece of "evidence" could shake his undeniability to us.

... He has called us to different roles by giving us different talents. To not use them would be wasteful.

Amen. Just when you think you cannot be more clearheaded, something like this comes to you. I'm on relatively solid ground on looking at my future now.
